A Hint of Color

Every year, right after Labor Day, we watch this tree as it starts to change, from our patio. Every year, we think “it’s too early” but as predictable as our thoughts are, this tree proves us wrong.   We realized this morning, that this tree is our “barometer” for the coming foliage season.  Some years, the leaves take on a brownish hue….not going to be a good color year.  Most years, it takes on a sunny yellow/red hues…..great colors ahead.  Well, drum roll please…..it is looking yellow/red!  We are certainly not experts, but we are feeling like this is the year for amazing colors!  We haven’t had  a frost yet, but weather reports are talking like it could be very soon!  Tonight, it is supposed to go down around 38 degrees.

So, there is excitement in the air….Vermont’s Foliage Season is just around the corner.  For heaven’s sake….what are you waiting for?….rooms are going quickly.   Call or email us, to book your room.  You DON’T want to miss this foliage season.  I am ready to plan your foliage driving tour.  Fall Foliage and The Canterbury House, a winning combination.
